For comic relief, I decided to read the 29 page indictment that the Mueller probe put out. Apparently, Russia operated a military intelligence agency called the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff (GRU). This intelligence agency hacked the DNC server and searched for certain words and phrases. From the indictment we find that they searched these words (I am not making this up):
Why would a specially trained Russian intelligence agency search these words? Specifically, the word “Illuminati”.
I also found this interesting:
“During the hacking of the DCCC and DNC networks, the Conspirators covered their tracks by intentionally deleting logs and computer files. For example, on or about May 13, 2016, the Conspirators cleared the event logs from a DNC computer.”
I find it extremely hard to believe that the DNC network does not have a SIEM. In which case, deleting the local logs would have been meaningless.
Either way, it is time to abolish the FBI.
